To promote tourism and align with global trends in sustainable travel, the Tourism Administration, MOTC is launching the “Taiwan Tourism 100 Spotlights” initiative from 2024 to 2025. The project shines a light on the vibrant local cultures and everyday life across Taiwan’s 368 townships, while encouraging balanced regional development. A total of 100 distinctive destinations have been selected from all 22 counties and cities—featuring 24 winners of the inaugural Tourism Spotlight Award, alongside 76 additional spots recommended by local governments. These places are further brought to life through themed events and curated journeys, and combine the Smiley South Bay Cultural Journey, 12 innovative travel itineraries, and a suite of convenient transport services such as the Taiwan Pass, Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, and Taiwan Tour Bus. Together, they weave a rich and dynamic network of over 100 travel experiences—inviting you to uncover the endless adventures waiting in Taiwan.
